Caroline&CJ's Commitment Ceremony ~ Durham, NC

I was honored to be asked to photograph my neighbors, Caroline and CJ, for their commitment ceremony.  On the day of their five year anniversary, they took the time to promise their lives to each other.  This intimate ceremony took place in their home which they decorated for the event.  CJ planted purple flowers at the entrance to their house as a bouquet for Caroline.  Caroline's mother sent cut flowers for decorations, streamers were suspended from the ceiling, candles were lit and drapes were hung for their evening dinner on the porch - the entire setting was lovely.  The house cats in attendance even were dressed up for this special day!  Caroline and CJ had me over the night before to photograph them in their home where the ceremony was to be the next day, and then we headed to downtown Durham to take some more photos.  Here are a few of my favorites.

Thank you so much for these photos. They capture the essence of who we are as a couple as well as the place where we built a home. Couldn't have asked for anything better to document the best day of our lives.
