Melissa and Blake's Wedding ~ Durham, NC

The skies turned from clear sunshine into a incessant downpour that started during the ceremony on the day of Melissa and Blake's beautiful wedding.  This couple will have wonderful luck in their marriage I'm sure!  Although the rain caused an initial disappointment, it could not make this perfect day any less beautiful.  The day started with everyone getting ready at the Washington Duke Inn.  The ceremony was held at the lovely St. Philip's Episcopal Church in downtown with a reception following at Bay 7 of the American Tobacco Campus in downtown Durham.  As you can see, I had a very hard time narrowing down my favorite images as every detail was lovely.  It was even harder to narrow down the moments of the day.

The gorgeous flowers where designed and created by Tre Bella, perfect as always.

The bridesmaids wore dresses by Dessy.

 

Melissa's stunning dress was designed by Ulla Maija.  Its elegant and graceful style suited her perfectly.

Now for the men...

The clouds darkened the light coming through the windows to help create an intimate scene where the glow of the candles shone warmly. 

Bay 7 looked amazing set up for her reception.

After Melissa and Blake's entrance, the band Hipshack started up for their first dance.

Instead of her cathedral length veil, Melissa wore a simple purple orchid in her hair for the reception.

The cake was created by Miel Bon Bons.

Thank you so much for having us there Melissa and Blake.  Your wedding day was amazing and you two were such a kind couple to work with.  I wish the best for you in your marriage!
