Quinceanera

I came early to the church at a wedding I was photographing last Saturday (images to be posted soon)... a service for this girl's quinceanera was just finishing. In spanish class growing up, I was always fascinated with the quinceanera, which is the celebration of a girl's 15th birthday. It is basically her debut into the adult world. I love how this girl's dress was over the top and she had a huge entourage of boys to match! Interesting stuff. I'd love to sharpen up my spanish speaking skills, which are pretty rusty at this point, and photograph a quinceanera.

I've been pretty fascinated with the quinceanera, too, after seeing lots of the party-goers getting photos taken in parks in Greensboro.

Let me know if you ever shoot one! :)
