I was honored to be asked to photograph my neighbors, Caroline and CJ, for their commitment ceremony. On the day of their five year anniversary, they took the time to promise their lives to each other. This intimate ceremony took place in their home which they decorated for the event. CJ planted purple flowers at the entrance to their house as a bouquet for Caroline. Caroline's mother sent cut flowers for decorations, streamers were suspended from the ceiling, candles were lit and drapes were hung for their evening dinner on the porch - the entire setting was lovely. The house cats in attendance even were dressed up for this special day! Caroline and CJ had me over the night before to photograph them in their home where the ceremony was to be the next day, and then we headed to downtown Durham to take some more photos. Here are a few of my favorites.
Thank you for having me there neighbors and congratulations on your marriage! May you two live a long and wonderful life together.

Katie&Kyle's Engagement Session ~ Tanglewood Park
Katie, Kyle, and Mr. Logan met me on the pastoral grounds of Tanglewood Park in Clemmons, NC for their engagement session. We are to meet up again next year for their wedding at the Manor House which lies in the folds of the hills of the park. Late evening summer thunderstorms were passing around us while we had a pocket of beautiful sunshine for our session. These two were so fun to photograph - they kept cracking each other up during the session. Their wedding is sure to be a good time!
Good dog!
Making his lady laugh.
We did get a little shower, but it only made the setting more beautiful.
Kyle designed Katie's engagement ring inspired by the shape of tulips.
Thanks guys for making our session so fun! I'm looking forward to your wedding.
