My little girl, Emeline, has been cared for every week by her wonderful nanny, Marissa. Her husband Michael just got a new job in Ohio, so tomorrow is the last day she will watch my baby. Emeline and I have both enjoyed and appreciated having such a caring person (and her two beautiful children) over at our house in the mornings. Her care for Emeline allowed me to keep my business running and stay close to my girl while she was still so young. We will miss you guys! I hope you look back on these pictures and remember NC fondly.
The ducks helped us start off the photo session!
Thank you so much for taking good care of my baby Marissa!
When I first met with Lacy, she sat across from me at lunch beaming while telling me about this man who she fell deeply and quickly in love with - a man who proposed to her in front of her family in Florida, and who she is now engaged to be married. Andrew and Lacy met with me in Raleigh, under the overarching spring oaks in front of the city skyline for their engagement session. It was clear that these two have found love, hope, and respect in each other.
I'm looking forward to your wedding this summer Lacy and Andrew! Thank you so much for having me as your wedding photographer.
If any of my readers out there are looking for a photographer, please do not hesitate to call or email me!
My little girl turned six months old on Valentines Day! I picked two different locations to capture this special age. We did the first part of our session in her colorful nursery...
Emeline Addie is my little southern lady! We did the second part of her session at an old plantation home in southern South Carolina. This amazing place is called the Lookaway Inn. Emeline checked in to her room and dressed in her finest ruffles for her portraits...
Dalila and Davor have been married for seventeen years now and set aside a beautiful spring afternoon to renew their marriage vows to each other. They had originally been married during the Bosnian War, which was a sad time for their families. Following their move to the United States, their work and their boys took up a lot of their energy, so this vow renewal gave them the opportunity to focus on one another - their love and commitment to each other. The Blomquist Pavillion in the Natives Garden of Duke Gardens provided a romantic setting for this intimate ceremony with their two boys and Dalila's mother. I felt honored to be invited to capture the love and joy of this day in images.
Davor's ring was engraved in Bosnian as Dalila and Davor are originally from Bosnia. Part of their vows were spoken in Bosnian as well.
The harp by Pavelid and the soprano by Summer filled the forest with elegant music.
Now that I've shown the romantic and beautiful part of the ceremony, this blog post wouldn't be complete without the humorous side of the event... The little boys added to the fun of the ceremony with their big sticks, muddy feet, accidental pond swims, and sparkling apple juice to celebrate with!
Thank you so much for having me at this joyful, loving, and gorgeous occasion!
