At the end of August, I got some time to hike on the Appalachian Trail for an extended weekend. This self-portrait is testament to why the AT refreshes me. My hiking group and I got up at five in the morning to see the sunrise over McAfee Knob which is in the Virginia portion of the trail. A breath of fresh air...

Yay! Jessica is back to her roots! Great new posts, lady. I've been out of the loop for a while and it was a lovely surprise to see all your new stuff. The Hopper is especially cool. As are llama teeth.
